Housez 43 is a 125 year old building located at 43 Mirza
Ghalib Street, which has witnessed the changing face of
Calcutta from the British Raj to the Zamindars of Bengal and
to the commercial development on the street which is still
called the Free School Street, name given to the street by
the British Raj, has been changed to Mirza Ghalib Street,
apt for the street which seems poetic in patches.
